Career
In 1993-1996 Koktyš worked as a correspondent of the UPI news agency (United States) in Belarus. Later he was executive director of the Parmiks agency (Minsk). He developed and implemented a number of large public relations projects, in particular a press conference of Belarusian president Aliaksandr Lukašenka at the International Press Centre and the Moscow club (1994).
In 1996-1997 he was head of public relations of the Blago cultural and social initiatives fund (Moscow).
He supervised research projects and the preparation of complex analytical reports and recommendations on the political and economic situation in Belarus (annually since 2001 to present), on the political and economic situation in Ukraine (2003, 2004, 2005), and on the political and economic situation in the North-Western, Volga and Far Eastern Federal Districts of Russia for state bodies. He supervised a complex political economy study of Kazakhstan in 2003. He holds a PhD in Political Science (1999).
