Career
From 1975 to 1978 he was part of the USSR youth tennis team. In 1979, he became the bronze medalist of the USSR Championship under 18 years, and in 1980 – European Champion in doubles among juniors.
Was the first Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism, assistant to the president, director of the Olympic sports complex “Raubichi”, director of the Republican Olympic Training Centre for Tennis and Vice President of the National Olympic Committee.
He taught Lukashenka to play tennis and is considered a close friend of the president.
